Sometimes spending too much time in Los Angeles gets a bit too overwhelming and you need to just get away somewhere for a few days. Last weekend, we all drove a few hours up north to our friend’s ranch in Paso Robles to do just that – and to spend some time with Sam during his last weekend in California. Although this ranch has become like a second home to me (at least during Thanksgiving), I’m always in awe as we drive up the road through the vineyard towards his house. With over 1,500 acres of property, there are endless possibilities of things to do or places to explore. We got to shoot some guns for target practice, ride quads, gaze at the scenery, and sing around an enormous bonfire. Oh, they’ve added almost 100 sheep to the vineyard in the past year and somehow we were able to get in there to help feed them. Awesome. The stars are beautiful, the sunsets are full of color, and the landscapes are vastly different than anything in Southern California. Most importantly though, my whole group of friends got to spend one last weekend all together. Words can’t describe the amount of fun we all have together and there’s no way I would ever choose to have any other group as my best friends.
Side note, our friend’s ranch, Adelaida Springs, is growing in popularity around the Central California area. They have amazing wine to offer, grass fed beef for sale, and a little guest house available on the weekends!
