A Happy New Year

Looking back at 2012, it’s a bit hard to sum up all of my experiences in a few words because so much has happened within my personal life and with Brightwood itself. Tim and I graduated from Chapman University with BFA’s in Film Production, I shot two 20-minute short films with my best friends, moved up to Los Angeles, shared the two year mark with my awesome girlfriend, hiked 28 miles across Yosemite National Park (15 of those miles were in one day), and held a full time job right after school for 6 months with a camera rental house in LA. Now that brings us to January 1st, 2013. What’s the best way to start off the new year you may ask? Well for me, it’s quitting my comfortable day job and taking a risk. I’ve decided to put all of my time and effort into Brightwood Photography and build it into something I never would have imagined. This is quite an incredible journey so far and I couldn’t be happier with my decision.

2013 is going to be a big year for us and I’m 100% confident in that. I’m taking everything we had before and starting completely fresh. I know it’s going to be a very difficult challenge, but I keep telling myself that it will all pay off with the hard work I’m putting into everything. One of the best feelings about starting the New Year like this is the love and support I’ve had from all of my friends and family. Even with Tim and Davis currently in Greece, I constantly get emails from them about their excitement for Brightwood and how proud they are with everything. All of my friends at home are constantly pushing me and can’t wait to see Brightwood grow over the next few months.

Instead of posting photos to recap what 2012 was like, I want to share a couple photos of my best friends whom I spent my New Year with. These people are awesome and I don’t know where Brightwood or myself would be without them.
