Part of the rebranding and reimaging process for Brightwood this year is redesigning basically everything. The first step towards this exciting process was teaming up with one of my good friends (and an awesome designer), Anton Warkentin. I’ve never really worked with a graphic designer for one of my own products before, so the whole process was a bit daunting at first. Luckily, Anton was able to come up with some pretty amazing concept drawings that I could choose from. The logo you see now all over the website is obviously what we went with and I couldn’t be happier. I think it has a lot of personality and captures the uniqueness of our images and style. Plus, if you look at it from the side, it’s the colors of a sun setting/rising over a green forest. Anton, you know me too well.
So here they are, before and after. The old black and white logo on the left definitely had a good life, but it was time to change. Check out more of Anton’s work on his personal site and keep an eye out on the next project he’s working on, Cathod.
