I met up with Elisa and Brad last Wednesday to kick off the year with some beautiful weather for this engagement session. The days leading up to their shoot were windy, rainy, and cold – not the typical weather you’d expect for Orange County. However, we could not have asked for better weather or sunset for that matter. We met and walked down to Crystal Cove in Laguna Beach, which was surprisingly occupied by people swimming in the freezing water (you couldn’t pay me to go swimming in January). We had such a fun time roaming around the rocks, checking out the tidepools, and climbing farther around the corner to the point where we wouldn’t make it back if the tide came in. Elisa had suggested we check out a park a few miles away called “Top of the World” and it did not disappoint. The views were amazing and we were treated to a colorful sunset. Even after spending only two hours together, I definitely feel like we all became good friends and I can’t wait for their wedding in the late fall of 2013. Couples like Elisa and Brad, who you can laugh and joke with while photographing with no worries, are the ones that keep me loving what I do.
